RU Voting!

October 28, 2010

Dear Rutgers Students:

Election Day is Tuesday, November 2, and I urge you to go to the polls and make your voice heard by voting. Remember that every seat in the U.S. House of Representatives is up for election, along with many local positions throughout New Jersey.

If you are registered to vote, you may participate in this year's election. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. I encourage you to visit http://ruvoting.rutgers.edu/ for everything you need to know on Election Day, including where to vote, what to bring to the polls, and how the voting process works.
In 2008, young people turned out to vote in great numbers. Prove the cynics wrong and demonstrate your ongoing commitment to the political process by going to the polls again this year. Voting is the most effective tool you have to express your will this midterm election. I hope that you will exercise this power on Election Day.
