April 1, 2010
Members of the Rutgers Community:
On Saturday, April 24, we will roll out the scarlet carpet for our second annual Rutgers Day on the New Brunswick Campus. At last year’s event more than 50,000 visitors experienced firsthand the vitality of New Jersey’s state university. This year’s lineup—featuring nearly 500 innovative programs and performances—should be even more exciting thanks to the hard work of hundreds of faculty, staff, and students.
Please join us from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and be sure to bring your family, friends, and neighbors to this free event on the Busch, College Avenue, Cook/Douglass, and Livingston campuses. Rutgers Day is our opportunity to showcase the university’s importance to the state, enhance recruitment, and gain increased support for university programs. By sharing our pride in Rutgers, we can make the day an exceptionally rewarding experience for our visitors, many of whom will be on the university’s campus for the first time.
Detailed information can be found on the Rutgers Day website http://rutgersday.rutgers.edu.
Thank you again for all you do for Rutgers. I look forward to seeing you, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 24.
Sincerely yours,
Richard L. McCormick
President
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
