Help Keep Higher Education Funding Restoration a Priority

Dear Rutgers Students, Staff, Faculty, and Alumni:

Governor Corzine has stated publicly that restoring funding for higher education in the state budget would be a top priority. Leaders in the Legislature have voiced similar words of support. As a difficult budget season reaches its final days, decisions are being made that will have a huge impact on Rutgers and other colleges and universities. It is vitally important for the higher education community to remain vocal throughout the course of the budget negotiations.

I am asking, therefore, that you reach out—even if you have already done so—to remind our leaders in Trenton of the importance of higher education to the future of New Jersey.
