Announcing Our Rutgers, Our Future

Members of the Rutgers Community:

Yesterday, we launched a fundraising campaign that will change Rutgers forever. Called Our Rutgers, Our Future, this historic campaign will raise an unprecedented $1 billion for our university, focusing on four key funding areas: faculty and research, students and learning, campuses and facilities, and university and community programs.

With this campaign, we chart a path toward a future in which our bold ambitions for Rutgers are realized. In that future, we see a Rutgers where the exceptional quality of our faculty is matched by the quantity of endowed chairs. We see a Rutgers in which the brightest students are supported by robust endowed scholarships. We see an unwavering commitment to diversity and opportunity, campuses and facilities that support world-class teaching and research, and an expansion of programs that connect research insights with action in the community, both locally and globally.

This is Our Rutgers because we have lived it and because we love it, but most important, this is Our Rutgers because we have built it together and because our support will enable it to reach its true potential.

Every new scholarship, every dollar of research or programmatic funding, every building on which we can break new ground is an investment in Our Future. This campaign will depend on the partnership of our supporters in molding new leaders, discovering the next life-saving cure, nurturing young artists, developing athletes, and responding to the needs of our communities. These mighty aspirations benefit all of us, and at this pivotal moment, all of them are within reach.
